Grafschaft herbal liqueur combines great tradition with cutting-edge craftsmanship. Based on a recipe from 1848, wormwood, liquorice, gentian root and 33 secret herbs are combined to create a very special liqueur.
Grafschaft herbal liqueur is elaborately handcrafted in the Taunus region. We recommend a drinking temperature of 8 to 10 degrees, but our liqueur is also a symphony of flavours when iced.
Grafschaft herbal liqueur is incredibly mild, buttery and smooth, the pleasant spiciness of the herbs and the liquorice hint from the liquorice give it a wonderful dynamic. All of this is underpinned by just the right sweetness and a perfect balance.

The finest raw materials give this herbal liqueur its full, exquisite flavour and make it a guarantee for outstanding liqueur enjoyment. Wormwood, liquorice, gentian root and 33 other secret herbs blend to create a deep, delicate flavour.
Gentian root has a faint and peculiarly sweet odour reminiscent of dried figs.The taste of gentian root is sweet at first, but then changes to an intensely bitter flavour.
As the name suggests, liquorice tastes intensely sweet. This is because glycyrrhizin has around 50 times the sweetening power of sugar, and is almost calorie-free if the root is consumed in small quantities.
Wormwood has a comparatively extremely high proportion of bitter substances and tastes bitter and slightly savoury. It also has notes of grass, sage, mint, aniseed and orange.
